AppleCare coverage is pretty good for both plans. iPhones all the way up from 12 Pro Max, XS Max, down to the iPhone SE are eligible for AppleCare. The standard AppleCare+ plan only covers accidental damages. But, if you pay a few bucks more per month, you get theft/loss coverage too. The deductible for a replacement device is $150. We know the AppleCare plan is not for everyone, so if you don’t need it, consider getting the Asurion Phone Protection for extra peace of mind. AppleCare doesn’t protect your important data; most insurance plans don’t. But don’t let that make you turn away from AppleCare. Up to two incidents are covered every year, pretty much no questions asked. Still, if you keep important data on your phone, it’s better to go for AKKO Phone Insurance.
