Sony’s Saving Grace: All PS3 Games New And Old Will Be 3-D TV Capable in 2010 (video)

At IFA 2009 Sony has announced that they will release a free software update for all existing and future PS3’s that will support stereoscopic 3-D TV technology in 2010. Seems like a big deal right? Demoed at IFA 2009 was Wipeout HD 3-D and as you can see in the video below that the players are wearing some cooler looking non-traditional 3-D glasses.
So while the software to make the games 3-D will be free, you still have to have a TV that supports 3-D technology. That will not be free. Will this be what Sony needs to take the PS3 to the top?
