We already know that Sony’s A7S (not the old A7) is a powerhouse of a camera.  What makes it so formidable, though, isn’t its picture taking prowess, but its ability to shoot not only 4K video, but shoot HD video in ultra low light thanks to its astronomically high ISO level.   Okay, so a high ISO ain’t all that impressive, but once you check out the A7S’ sample low light footage (below), you soon understand why it’s so bad ass – the footage shows very little noise despite the high ISO and super low light.

Anyway, in case you were wondering, the pricing for Sony A7S was announced today.  It’s $2,498 for the body only. Shipping is expected to commence sometime in early July (B&H says July 9th).   That said, you’ll need to pick up an external recorder if you want to capture UHD video.
