So much for release day? If you’re looking for the latest and greatest, the Samsung Galaxy S5 is now available for purchase on eBay through one of its larger mobile phone retailer. Both the white and black models of the GS5 16GB SM-G900H is available at a price of $629.99 with free shipping.
Update: Black ones are all sold out so you’re stuck with white only!
2nd Update: Deal is “dead”! Now at $729 vs the previous $629.
That is of course a pretty penny but considering these are unlocked from the factory. Packed with a beefier 2800 mAh battery and the latest Sanpdragon 801 clocking in at 2.5Ghz (when are phones so powerful again?) the Andreno 330 GPU equipped smartphone boast the strangely now standard 1080p resolution on a 5.1-inch display.
The particular Galaxy S5 model being up for grabs on eBay will work on any GSM carrier, with support for these band: GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900. #G is on HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100 and LTE is market dependent (though this should work with T-Mobile in the US without an issue).
While you can always grab a subsidized model at any of the big carriers come tomorrow, for those on no contract GSM plans with the right carrier, this is a good option if you’re somehow sick of your now “ancient” Galaxy S4.
Reviews are still light on the GS5 but it’ll be interesting to see how it stacks up against other flagship Android device such as the latest HTC One M8 (a decisively well-reviewed phone that no one is buying).
