You hear that familiar beeping sound? That’s the sound of imaging joy as Olympus continues to back up its dump truck of press goodies. Today has already birthed three very different and very powerful new compact cameras. If you missed that news, then do yourself a favor and get up to speed. While you do that thing… Olympus introduces new M.ZUIKO Digital ED lenses!
The leading M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 60mm f2.8 Macro lens is a single focal-length macro lens for a significant variety of shooting environments and conditions. Olympus is quick to highlight its dust-splash-proof housing to weather the rigors of the elements.
The Limited Edition M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 12mm F2.0 Black lens is an attactive interchangeable ebony lens with large aperture, wide-angle and single-focal-length. Don’t dismiss it’s compact design. This is a high-speed lens, which Olympus promises is ideal for wide view vistas, landscapes and wide street views in dimmer less illuminated settings. The Limited Edition M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 12mm F2.0 Black will also come with a small assortment of accessories: the LH-48 Metallic Lens Hood (Black), the LC-48 Metallic Lens Cap (Black), and the PRF-D46PRO Protection Filter all ship with the 12mm lens.
Finally, the M.ZUIKO DIGITAL 17mm f1.8 in Development is a snapshot centric lens that Olympus has crafted to take it’s best pics on city streets. This one is slated for the first half of 2013. Price TBD.
