Blasting each other with NERF darts or discs gets old after about 30 minutes of faux gun warfare. Laser tag, now that’s where it’s at. Though we’re a bit skeptical about Hasbro’s latest Lazer Tag guns, which utilize the iPhone as a display – the whole setup looks clunky and haphazardness. That said, you can’t turn off your bedside alarm by blasting it with a lazer beam (unless you had one of these). But you can “shoot to snooze” this alarm clock from Nerf.
Located on every side of this cubically shaped alarm clock, are a set of cross hairs. Nail it and you can snooze for what is presumambly 10 more minutes. Actually, hit it with anything and it will snooze, but Nerf clearly wants you to shoot it with one of their many guns since it’s a product tie in that forces you to make a further investment. We would have liked to see an archery like target. Nail the bullseye and you receive 10 minutes of snooze time. Nail the outter ring and you only get 3 minutes. You get the point. Other features include an indoor thermometer which can display in F or C, the date, and a backlit display which turns on with a tap of the box.
The Nerf Shoot to Snooze Alarm Clock is available now for about $23, though we can’t find it available on a US site.
