Thanks to its remarkably portable design, super-low power consumption, and low noise rating, the Evapolar evaSMART is an excellent cooler for personal use. However, this one cools only a small area and doesn’t reach the performance of ACs.

Product Snapshot

Overview

The Evapolar evaSMART is a mid-range compact evaporative air cooler and humidifier that debuted in 2015, offering a more natural cooling for families. Unlike the best air conditioners, this evaporative air cooler doesn’t have a traditional BTU rating. This tabletop option weighs just 2.9 pounds and has a removable 0.75L water tank. An intuitive top touchscreen allows for custom lighting and fan speed and displays the room temperature and battery life.

The evaSMART has a mobile app that enables remote operation and gives access to voice assistants. A color playlist changes the color scheme of the transparent water tank, and the cooler also has a built-in humidifier. Continue reading below for details, and you can also find out whether AC misters work in our detailed guide.

Consensus

our Verdict

The Evapolar evaSMART is a great cooling unit for personal use. This device doubles as a humidifier and cools up to 15 degrees, although this is limited to 45 square feet. The evaSMART is remarkably economical, featuring a power draw of just 0.02KWh. This 6.7” x 6.7” x 6.9” device weighs just 2.9 pounds, so it’s portable and requires no installation, just like the best evaporative coolers.

It has a noise rating of just 43.8 dB, which is the lowest on our certified tested list. An intuitive companion app enables simple monitoring, and you can use Alexa and other voice assistants to control the evaSMART. It also has an LED touchscreen control panel with intuitive settings. Its 750 ml water tank requires frequent refilling, however. However, it leaks when moved around, and the water filter needs to be replaced every six to eight months.

ReasonS to Buy

  • Quiet operation
    • The Evapolar evaSMART is an excellent evaporative cooler for personal use, thanks to its low noise rating of 43.8 dB. It’s quieter than any of our certified tested air conditioners.

  • User-friendly controls
    • With a top LED touchscreen that enables changing the color scheme and other settings, this air cooler is easy to operate. The LED displays the current temperature, current color, fan speed, and other features.

    • It also has a mobile app, which allows remote control and the use of voice assistance via a connected smartphone.

  • Energy efficiency
    • With a power draw of just 0.02 kWh, the Evapolar evaSMART is remarkably efficient.

Reason to Avoid

  • Mediocre cooling ability
    • This air cooler can only cool an area of up to 45 square feet, which is small compared to regular window air conditioners.

The Evapolar evaSMART is much more portable and consumes much less power than the De’Longhi PACE390LVYN air conditioner. However, the De’Longhi air conditioner is much more effective at cooling whole rooms. Both devices have a built-in dehumidifier, though. The Evapolar evaSMART operates more quietly, has a smaller footprint, and costs less to buy than the Windmill 8000 BTU AC. However, the Windmill AC is more effective in cooling whole rooms. It needs to be installed on a window, unlike the tabletop evaSMART.

With a slightly bigger fan, the Evapolar evaSMART cools a slightly larger area than the Evapolar evaCHILL. The evaCHILL is more portable, consumes less power, and is more affordable to buy. However, neither reaches the performance levels of a regular AC. if you require a bigger whole-room air conditioner, consider our Hisense 10,000 BTU Window AC review.
