Gibson Min-ETune Robotically Tunes Your Guitar Instantly, No Hands Necessary (video)

Play guitar for any extended period of time, and odds are that you’ll be able to quickly and easily tune it by ear alone.  But tuning your guitar’s strings to a performance worthy level generally requires a roadie or a respectable amount of patience with a tuner.  Unless of course you’ve got a Gibson Min-ETune guitar.

While you can’t buy the Min-ETune and apply it to your existing guitar, the Mini-ETune, which once was only available on Gibson’s high-end instruments, is now available on 11 presumably affordable axes, which range from the made-for-the-stage SG to the mighty Les Paul.

Unlike other comparable systems, the Min-ETune guitar actually listens to your strummed strings and mechanically tunes all six simultaneously, with an accuracy of 2 cents, in seconds. Apparently, you can even preset the strings to your liking, such as that of an off tune piano, or to drop-D for your fave Nirvana song.

Sorry, no word on a price just yet.
