Our #3 choice for the best avocado slicer is this slicing and pitting tool by Amco. This avocado slicer can cut the fruit into eleven perfect pieces and uses a nylon loop to remove pits, which is a different approach than many other tools on the market. It’s important to note that there is no knife on this tool. So, why should you buy this top-tier kitchen appliance? Lets find out…

This tool by Amco is the perfect tool for people who prefer to use a knife to cut open an avocado, but hate cutting themselves on accident while trying to remove the pit and slice the avocado. It is a high-quality tool made of stainless steel and nylon.

While this avocado slicer and pitter may not have all the features of the OXO Good Grips 3-in-1 Avocado Slicer, it nonetheless is a great tool if all you need to do is remove avocado pits and slice up the rest. Unfortunately, the pit remover isn’t the most effective because it can end up mashing the avocado while you attempt to remove the pit. Thankfully, the slicer works much better and cuts the avocado into eleven thin slices, which are many more slices than other comparable tools.
The design of the Amco tool isn’t anywhere near as good as the Joseph GoAvocado 3-in-1 Avocado Slicer, which removes the pit, slices the avocado, and has a foldable knife built into the bottom. This tool only has a pit remover and a slicer; it does not have a knife component. The tool is made of stainless steel for the slicer and the handle. The pit remover is made of nylon and works well in theory, but individual results may vary.
The value of this product isn’t very good. This tool only has a splitter and a pit remover; similarly priced tools include a knife, a pit remover, and a splitter. Even cheaper tools like the Dotala 3-in-1 Avocado Slicer include a knife, so that is definitely an area where the Amco is lacking. One good thing is that, unlike other tools, this tool is made of only stainless steel and nylon (no plastic!), so at least it is made of high-quality materials.
The Amco Avocado Slicer & Pitter is the perfect tool if you don’t mind cutting open the skin yourself. It’s made from high-quality materials so you don’t have to worry about it breaking, but the lack of a knife is somewhat disappointing. Still, this product costs just under $11, is dishwasher-safe, and cuts avocados into more slices than any other tool, so it will work very well for some people!
