The Feeling Skin is more than just a protective case for your iPhone – it’s a way to connect with friends. While today’s objects are obviously “smart,” the Feeling Skin adds sensitivity to the mix by allowing you to share your mood with friends. It expresses emotion via color pulsations and intensity variations that your friends will see even if they aren’t around you. Seeing how your friend is feeling can bring you closer together even when you’re far apart. You can connect from anywhere, work, home, abroad – and they don’t need to have a feeling skin to share these emotional moments.
Its app allows you to create your own community of close friends and works with ay device (the skin is iPhone only). The app allows you to snap a video and share a “Mood Up” or a “Mood Down” to make your emotions felt by your community. Your community then receivers the mood and your Feeling Skin on your phone will light up as it “feels” it, too. By default, a Mood Up will shine in blue tones and Mood Down in red, but the application allows you to change these correspondences and choose the color of your choice.
Also, you can touch the back of the Feeling Skin to ask how your friends are doing so they can share their mood. With the Pulse, you can get news from your friends in an instant. For those who don’t have a Feeling Skin, they just have to shake their smartphone to activate the Pulse and get in touch with their friends.
Besides being a mood sharing case, it also acts a a smart battery case that is embedded with a 1450 mAh battery that will provide your iPhone with up to 80% extra battery life. The case will automatically detect when your smartphone’s battery is running low and recharge it. You can also recharge your smartphone manually by activating the battery with the Feeling Skin’s Companion App, which also allows you to monitor your battery. And when you want to synchronize your phone, you can leave it inside the Feeling Skin and just plug the included USB cable into the case to both synchronize and recharge your iPhone easily. If you hurry now, you can get the Feeling Skin for $49 on its Kickstarter campaign for the Early Bird price.
