Taking inspiration from the Quattro Concept that was unveiled at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, the new Audi Sport Quattro Concept looks more production ready, which debuted at this week’s Frankfurt Motor Show. Also taking cues from Audi’s 1980 Ur-Quattro, this concept sports muscular styling and can push out 700 hp and 590 pound-feet of torque from its plug-in hybrid powertrain, versus the Quattro Concept’s more historically appropriate 2.5-liter five-cylinder turbo with 408 hp and 354 lb-ft. Powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 plus an electric motor the Sport Quattro Concept can go from 0-62 mph in just 3.7 seconds before topping out at 190 mph, getting 94 mpg. There are rumors that Audi will make a limited-edition version of the couple, but nothing has been officially released. But if a model is offered, expect it to be more than Audi’s R8 super car.
