Mercedes Benz’s three-point star logo is, to say the least, iconic. But that goes without saying, as they continue to build what appear to be ultra high quality machines with performance that rarely goes unparalleled. I know that sounds like a bit of an advertisement, but I’m driving their AMG C63 with over 450hp, so my experience has been something akin to that.
That said, Mercedes appeals largely to an older crowd, with the exception of a few vehicles, so I’m a bit shocked to see their latest offering: an LED illuminated logo that is housed in the car’s front fascia, between the headlights. It will be a dealer installed option on the 2014 E-Class, 2013+ GL-Class, 2012+ M-Class and 2006+ CLS-Class, with other models coming down the road. There is no word on a price, but word is that it illuminates when the key fob pressed. Unfortunately, I can’t tell you if you’ll be able to activate it when the car’s headlights are running, which would surely appeal to Jersey Shore meat heads.
Grew up back East, got sick of the cold and headed West. Since I was small I have been pushing buttons - both electronic and human. With an insatiable need for tech I thought "why not start a blog focusing on technology, and use my dislikes and likes to post on gadgets."
