Trust London police to use an unmanned drone to catch a suspected car thief.  Last month a 16 year old and his buddy jacked a car and took off on foot.  Police lost one of the suspects, but not for long.  They called in the Air Robot, which looks very similar to Parrot’s AR.Drone, and using the device’s on board camera and thermal imaging soon tracked the teenager down hiding in some bushes.  Each quadricopter costs about $62k and is rated to military spec.
