W WatchPhone From Kempler And Strauss (video)

The watch phone has long been reemed between folk lore and the stuff made of dreams. Last year LG garnered an endless array of headlines when they announced the first watch phone from a major consumer electronics company. Unfortunately, its announcement was followed by the revealing of a hefty price tag that resulted in sour grapes.

Adding to the growing list is the W Watchphone from Kempler & Strauss, the world’s smallest full function GSM tri-band cellphone watch.. There’s no word on a price, but it does include a touchscreen, camera with video function, Bluetooth connectivity, a Bluetooth headset that they’re dubbing the Communicator – it sports a set of controls for what else but controlling the W Watchphone from afar – a microSD card slot for storage and a media player.

There’s no word on a launch date, but if they decide to score a booth at next year’s CES you can guarantee we’ll be stopping by for a full product tour.
