3 Technologies To Keep The Somalian Pirates At Bay

The pirates of Somalia have become such a menace that owners of the threatened ships are seeking out military grade, nonlethal deterrents to wards off future attacks.

The Force 80 Water Cannon is a giant super soker on a serious dose of steroids.  It can blast out 1,400 gallons a minute from its 3-inch nozzle and reach distances of up to 100 yards.  Best of all it can be controlled using a joystick and video camera.

If water doesn’t put the kobosh on the pirates then the Mobility Denial System will surely slip up their game.  It’s a slippery nontoxic foam that can be sprayed on any surface making it impossible to get a grip or footing.

Last in line is the Long Range Acoustic Device, or LRAD.  It emits an ear piercing sound that should ward off any would be attacker.  In fact it can get so loud it can cause hearing damage.

Course, any good pirate will adapt and figure out how to continue their swashbuckeling ways. Got any ideas?  If so hit the comments.
