Bracelets or necklaces with listed medical allergies are nothing new. But too often the information is limited, especially if the person wearing it is incapacitated. A former British SAS soldier, who used to sew a USB flash drive containing his info into clothing while in Afghanistan, has taken the idea to market. The U Tag is a dog tag like device that contains a removable flash drive. It features the standard medical snake entwined on a staff and the acronym ICE (In Case of Emergency). The drive is password protected preventing would be assailants from writing erroneous info and it can be read by any computer system. The drive even contains 6 different translations of its contents.
The U Tag costs $30 – $35.
