Cell Phones — 08 October 2008
I’ve heard horrible things about the Motorola Q series, but if you believe in giving gadgets a second chance, here’s the opportunity. The new Q11 ditches 3G connectivity as seen in the Q9 and instead adds a WiFi chip that automatically connects to Boingo hotspots. It’s unclear if that the Boingo service will be included in the phone’s price, but seems unlikely. They’ve stuck with EDGE and GSM, tossed in a 3MP camera, GPS, and made it compatible with a handful of media codecs.
Still looks like a horrible device. No word on carrier or price.
