James Bond Hiding License Plate

disappearing-license-plate

I blew through a couple of red lights with cameras when I first moved to LA, and I sure as hell could of used this guys playbook. It cost me over $700 in fines.

A Queens New York truck driver jimmy rigged his license plate such that he could hide it while passing through the toll booths without paying the $40 fee (rightfully so). It’s quite ingenious, actually. As you can see he attached a wire from a dummy cigarette lighter to a license plate on a hinge. Just yank on the lighter and walla, the plate goes into hiding. He got busted, otherwise I don’t think he’d willingly show his license number or divulge his method to the press.
