Nobby Alarm Clock: Just Ring His Neck To Sleep

March 6th, 2006

Nobby Alarm Clock In ActionWe’re not sure if this thing would get us out of bed or just end up costing us a few window panes, but the Nobby alarm clock would probably be a great gimmick for the unsuspecting guest. Nobby will tell you the time and set the alarm when you ask, talk back to you, and if you really want to shut him up in the morning just grab hold and squeeze the incessant little guy’s blue neck.

Currently unavailable here for $30.

[…] Here at Gadget Review, we love our quirky alarm clocks.  The Memory Ball Alarm Clock from uncommon goods is no exception.  This alarm clock radio features a magnetized ball on top and 9 holes for it on a grid.  Each hole represents a different radio preset.  With 9 AM stations and 9 FM stations, you’re going to have a lot to remember to hear your favorite tracks. I own a Nobby alarm clock, and it has no snooze function ( i found this our the hard way, sleeping in a half hour), and you do not wring its neck to turn the alarm off, you actually shake it. The thing is that it actually turns the alarm off, so you have to set the alarm again if you want it to ring the next day. It has many annoying quirks like that, but overall its ok.

I like what you said above:

“The Memory Ball Alarm Clock from uncommon goods is no exception. This alarm clock radio features a magnetized ball on top and 9 holes for it on a grid.”

I think it’s a great idea too (the part abot how eaach hole represents a different radio preset. With 9 AM stations and 9 FM stations, you’re going to have a lot to remember to hear your favorite tracks.

    Great thinking!
