This is one sweet looking ride whose introduction is marred by an assault on my ears. There has to be a superior genre of music to instill a feeling of the dynamic, the extreme…world-shattering. Some of the worst tunes (yes flame for my opinion) are used for some of the most amazing features and products. Yes I’m looking at you Dubstep. I’m just not a fan. It reminds me of a buddy’s old garage band. They used sample things like fax machines, subway traffic, someone eating Pop Rocks and the like. Look, not all men are created equal. Not all people are beautiful and not all sounds are canorous. Sure, beauty and the melodic are in the eyes and ears of the beholder. Yet, being def, dumb and blind should be a Beholder disqualifier.
I think this is something we can all agree. The Italian-made Icona Vulcano shown at this year’s Shanghai Auto Show is drop-dead gorgeous. The Icona is a benevolent attack on the senses. The doors seem confused as they open backward and the car seems overly tall for such sleek lines. It can hit 217 mph with an obscene 790 horsepower from its 3rd world war-making fossil fuel-depleting V12 engine. The body is made from light carbon fiber and custom aluminum chassis. A double wishbone suspension rounds is on deck with coil-springs throughout.
