Spyker’s longivety may still be in question, but there is no doubt that the B6 Concept is a killer looking automobile that deserves attention just based on aesthetics alone.
The Spyker B6 Venator Concept is a compact, 2-door mid-engine sports car that will offer the discerning driver of the highest standards a new choice, delivering a rare combination of heritage, design, performance and exclusivity.
Paying homage to Spyker’s roots, the B6 Concept incorporates a number of details that are reminiscent of a fighter plane. This includes rear LED tail lights that are designed to look like a jet engine, 19-inch Turbofan wheels, and a cockpit wrapped almost entirely in glass.
Under the hood is a very modest V6 engine that pushes out a mere 375hp, hardly what I’d expect of a car of this ilk. Nevertheless, thanks to the B6 Concept’s carbon fiber wrapping over aluminum frame, Spyker has managed to tip the scales at just 3,100lbs, making the car’s horsepower to weight ratio relatively formidable. Other features include a V-Shaped grille, high-end leather throughout the interior, button ignition, a rear-mid engine, and a 6-speed automatic.
Unfortunately, those residing in the US will have to wait until late 2014, when the car will finally go on sale for a reported $125,000 to $150,000.
