New information has come out this week that strongly hints at a $100 price cut for Sony’s PlayStation 3. In press materials for Sony’s launch of their 3D Bravia TVs (which touts PS3 3D game support, also out this week), the PS3 is listed as starting at $199.99, a full hundred dollars less than what the PS3 Slim currently goes for. After being reached for comment, Sony didn’t confirm or deny the change.
Is Sony announcing a price cut at E3? We’ll find out next week, but I’m betting on it. A $200 PS3 and a $100 PlayStation Move sounds about right.
