Displays Gaming Nintendo DS — 02 April 2010

Parallax Barrier Displays — I’m not sure what it means, but it sounds cool and futuristic. Electronics maker Sharp has been working on them in 3.4-inch, 480×854 displays, to be exact. They allow 3D images to be viewed without glasses, thanks to a special series of vertical slits that can go into ordinary LCDs.
The previously posted Nintendo 3DS is going to be utilizing the same sort of ‘no glasses needed’ technology, so it only makes sense that they’d be using the Sharp screens. Nothing is confirmed yet, though. But I’m definitely looking forward to seeing this tech in action.
