Sony Launches PRS-700 Touchscreen Digital Reader
October 2nd, 2008 5:47 PM | by Christen da CostaE-readers are nothing new, but Sony stepped it up today with the introduction of the touchscreen PRS-700. Sporting similar dimensions and svelteness of the original Sony e-reader, the PRS-700’s 6-inch screen allows readers to intuitively flip through a book, magazine or newspaper by sliding their finger across the screen. Happen across an interesting article? No problem, just call up the virtual keyboard or use the stylus to jot a note. They’ve also tossed in a bed partner friendly LED reading light for night time witch stories. Total memory has been bumped allowing for up to 350 e-books, which is further expandable via SD or Memory Stick duo cards.
