Scratch Resistant Car Paint
Nissan claims to have created a scratch resistant car paint. The paint apparently contains some special resin that repairs scratches. Dependent on scratch intensity, and the temperature, the scratch could disappear in 1 day to up to 1 week. I am sure it can’t repair deep scratches – you know where you can see the white.
Aptly named “Scratch Guard Coat,” (sounds like Scotch Guard) it will protect the vehicle for up to 3 years. The new paint should also prevent scratches.
Until actually tested and seen I think it is best to have a healthy dose of skepticism. What maybe a scratch to Nissan, maybe a swirl mark to consumers in which case it may fixed with a little wax and elbow grease. Nonetheless, any less maintenance to do on a car is always a good thing.
