Logitech has been on a tear lately with new product announcements and adding to the already heavy barrage of new product gun fire is the Rechargeable Speaker S315i and Portable Speaker S125i.
First up is the flag ship of the two, the S315i. It packs in a rechargeable battery that is apparently good for 20 hours of music playback on a single charge and a dock that is compatible with iPods and iPhones. Beneath the metal grill are full-range drivers that should pump out some decent sound quality. And since it’s suited for travel, Logitech has shaved down its thickness to a backpack or suitcase suitable 2-inches.
Second in line, and rightfully so given its aesthetics, or lack there of is the S125i. This little ditty weighs less than a pound and can play and charge any iPod you toss into its dock. It doesn’t contain a built-in battery, so you’ll have to bring your own, but Logitech specs say it is good for up to 10 hours of music playback.
Both speaker systems include a 3.5mm jack just in case you’re not signed on for the whole Apple experience, but we have a hard time believeing anyone without an iPod would give these things a second glance. The Logitech Rechargeable Speaker S315i and Portable Speaker S125i will ship this month for $129.99 and $69.99 respectively.
