Product Snapshot

Overview

Released in 2022, the Philips 329P1H is a high-end business monitor. It boasts a 350-nit peak brightness, 60 Hz refresh rate, 1000:1 contrast ratio, and an IPS panel with an anti-glare screen. Like the best computer monitors, the display offers an sRGB coverage of 128% and an Adobe RGB coverage of 89%, with a Delta E value of less than two.

It’s slightly smaller at 31.5 inches than the best 32-inch monitor, and connection options include a DisplayPort, two HDMI 2.0, a USB-C, and an audio out. It also has display position adjustments, like tilt, swivel, rotation, and height. For a gaming monitor with a 144 Hz refresh rate, read our Samsung Odyssey G7 S28AG70 review.

Consensus

our Verdict

The Philips 329P1H is designed for users engaged in office tasks, like document editing, web browsing, and managing email correspondence. Unless the ambient light is strong, its 350 nits brightness should work well in office settings. It also has a good 1000:1 contrast ratio, a wide color gamut, and excellent color accuracy.

The speedy 4.0 ms response time offers smooth performance, and since most office work focuses on static content, the 60 Hz refresh rate suffices. The monitor is ergonomically well-built, with a 7.1-inch height adjustment, 25-degree tilt (away from you), 180-degree swivel, and landscape and portrait pivots. However, it lacks a mini joystick for convenient navigation. And while its high price tag won’t appeal to everyone, it’s a worthwhile pick for those seeking a large productivity monitor.

Reason to Buy

  • Great image quality
    • The Philips 329P1H is a productivity monitor suitable for document editing, web browsing, and other office work. It boasts a 350-nit peak brightness that should suffice for indoor settings (unless there is harsh ambient light) and a decent 1000:1 contrast ratio.

    • It has a 93% coverage of the DCI P3 color gamut, which is among the highest in our tests, and has precise color accuracy (Delta E < 2).

  • Exceptionally fast response time
    • You’ll get smooth and speedy performance for everyday office-oriented tasks with its 4 ms response time (the lowest we’ve tested). Moreover, this response time makes it a capable casual gaming monitor. For an entry-level gaming monitor, read our Dell G2724D review.

  • Good native refresh rate
    • Since office work primarily involves static content, its 60 Hz refresh rate meets the demands of a workplace.

  • Ergonomic build
    • You can work comfortably for longer hours, thanks to the monitor’s ergonomic features, including a 7.1-inch height adjustment, 25-degree tilt, 180-degree swivel, and landscape and portrait orientation options.

Reason to Avoid

  • No mini-joystick controller
    • The navigation buttons for controlling the on-screen display are on the right side of the bottom bezel. However, these aren’t as convenient as the mini-joystick found on many other office monitors.
