For those who spend equal time in the office as they do at home, and are looking for the best 24 inch monitor, this one delivers a nice performance at a pretty nice price. The HP VH240a offers excellent viewing angles from pretty much anywhere you need to be. The full HD 23.8 inch monitor screen will fit your office and gaming needs, and internal speakers do their jobs nicely.

Why We Like It – HP VH240A

If you’re in the market for a monitor that is a perfect size for office/home use, the HP VH240a offers just what you need at a reasonable price. The monitor is perfect for those who spend most of their time working in between a laptop and desktop.

Pros
  • Sharp HD picture
  • Sleek Design
  • Stand is fully adjustable
Cons
  • So so speakers
  • Slight blurring with fast moving visuals

Performance

The HP VH240a offers 60 HZ resulting in a smooth flowing visual and a quick response time eliminates any chance of choppiness. I was impressed with the accurate colors which are complemented with the good contrast ratio. The matte panel nicely illuminates reflections, which is a key factor for gaming or movie watching. The thin bezel-less frame allows for multiple screen use, which works fairly decently. The internal speakers sound surprisingly well for this affordable monitor, especially compared to others like the ACER r240hy.

Design

The HP VH240a is very slim, with a nice matte black frame. Although it’s on the heavier sign at 15 pounds, the short mounting arm allows for pretty nice pivot adjustments and viewing angles. There is a VGA and HDMI port, but it does not offer any USB inserts. So it may be a little difficult to connect to storage devices, or certain mobile phones. Power button is in the rear, which can be frustrating for people who want to mount or may just simply want it in reach. The design compares to the look of the ASUS va24ehe monitor 1920×1080 d sub.

Value

The HP VH240a’s quick speed and fast response time, along with sharp clean picture, makes it a bargain for its price. Without dropping much out of your wallet, you’re going to still get a thin, sleek, ”expensive looking” monitor that does it’s job. Spending extra on screens might be a waste of cash because there’s a good chance he won’t even notice the difference. Just like the …[] its light weight allows you to travel….and you don’t have to worry much that it might get banged up here and there.

HP VH240A Wrap Up

The HP VH240a is perfect if you are looking for a monitor that offers solid performance, good size display for home or office use, at a very good price. Whether you are a photographer, gamer, or anyone in need for a product that produces good colors and a quick response time, this is the screen to go with. Just like the LG 24m47vq, it’s perfect for people who require multiple monitors, side-by-side, thanks to the well-designed bezel-free screen. If you’re looking for a multi-purpose monitor that fits pretty much all your needs at a good price, this one’s for you.
