Some misfit iTunes users have apparently discovered code in the most recent installment of iTunes that leads to a hidden page on the iTunes Music store that will unlock the bizarre 100 song cap on Motorola iTunes phones. Purportedly the page reads: “Want more music on your mobile phone with iTunes? Upgrade now. According to iLounge several ROKR and SLVR users have tried to access the software update to no avail. If you remember, last time someone discovered hidden code on the iTunes software it came to fruition.

I think it has since been determined that the screenshot is for non-US iTunes phone users to upgrade to the 100 song cap from their lower limit (25 – 50 I think). Unfortunately this doesn’t yet mean that we can bypass the 100 song limit. However, it might be for someone to deconstruct the code that raises the limit to 100 and get it to do more.

I have the european version on the SLVR 7 which doesn’t have the iTunes interface but instead a generic Audio Music Player which uses MP3 files and anything under 192 bit rate. I was just curious to know if anyone knew the maximum amount of songs the SLVR can hold (non-iTunes version). Also, is there any way to hold more than 100? Maybe by getting a larger memory card?
