According to reports, Sirius XM has been working with bankruptcy lawyers in preparation for the dreaded Chapter 11. Sirius XM is home to famous radio personalities such as Howard Stern and Opie and Anthony as well as a host of commercial-free, high-quality satellite stations.
Other reports indicate this may be a ploy to get Echostar, which already owns a big part of Sirius’ debt, to take ownership of the struggling company. My take? Don’t care either way. It’s been ages since I’ve even turned on the radio let alone paid satellite radio. Internet audio streaming to your car…I think that may be the wavelength of the future.
