Forget the Roomba, Get the SweepEZE

SweepezeSweeping always proves to be a challenging task.  First sweep, then scoop it up, and there’s always that really small debris left behind (errr, how infuriating).  The SweepEZE Vacuum is not revolutionary, doesn’t have a super creative name, but for $54 and one less visit to the chiropractor you better believe I’m in.  It never needs to be turned on or off as a built in infrared beam detects your sweeping presence, and plugs into an AC outlet.

Available here.

Wow, so the thing looks a lot bigger in the picture than it is. I checked it out and it’s only 9.5″ x 17″ x 7″. Not the giant trash can sized monstrosity I thought it was.

Wonder what that knob on the side does?

Cool stuff, useful and no bad design.
But unfortunately it wastes electricity if the device is plugged in all the time.

(probably the knob on the side allows to open the dirt bin)

I bet it doesnt waste that much electricity. Power is really only used when it detects movement, but yes you’re right, it has to use some power to be ‘active’.
