Roborock S8+ Review

Compared to the Roborock Q7 Max+,  the Roborock S8+ is the more powerful option, as it has a higher suction power rating. As a result, it delivers better cleaning performance on most types of flooring despite being the more expensive alternative. That said, one of the best robot vacuums for tile floors, the S8+ has a more effective vibrating mop feature, helping it get rid of stains more easily. It also has a slightly lower noise output. Compared to the iRobot Roomba j7+, the Roborock S8+ has similar navigational capabilities and cleaning performance on hard floors, but the Roborock S8+ has an additional LIDAR sensor that enables better obstacle avoidance in low light conditions. This makes it more effective at cleaning than the J7+ but at a higher price. The S8+ has a more powerful suction motor, but the Roomba j7+ does a better job of filtering out allergens thanks to its HEPA filter, which the S8+ doesn’t have. The iRobot Roomba i7+ has similar bare floor and low-pile carpet cleaning performance as the Roborock S8+ but lacks the Roborock’s mopping feature for dealing with wet messes and sophisticated LIDAR navigation. Compared to its predecessor, the S7 MaxV, the S8+ differs mainly in that it has a new dual-roller suction head and a slightly more powerful motor. The new model also has a higher suction force.
