Sporting 56 flexors in the back and 93 connected plastic discs in the cushion, the Embody chair, Herman Miller’s latest, is no slouch when it comes to comfort. The chair adjusts with your involuntary movements providing an optimal sitting experience. Apparently, it’s so effective that it will ’slows your heart rate’, according to their Director of Product Commercialization and hence his title.
The Embody Chair comes in 13 colors and 3 finishes, will be available sometime next year, and will cost $1,595.

So am I the only one that has been waiting for this chair since October?! I could not find a single website that was selling them despite all the PR! Well anyway, it looks like this week it was finally released to internet resellers. $1600 seems pretty steep, but I had to try this puppy for myself! There are a few sites that sell them, but I ended up going with HermanMillerSeating.com – seemed like the most legit of the sites out there. Anyway, I’ll be back after I’ve been able to give this bad boy the tush test! :)
Yes I’ve been waiting for this chair as well since I’ve heard about it from http://www.embodychair.net/ ! Now I can finally buy this chair and replace my good old Aeron chair. YAY!
