CES 2013 has a few reoccurring themes. One of them is 4K display technology; another is new ways to empower gamers. But there is also a more noble theme and it’s very, very “Green”. Eco-conscious products are coming out in droves at the show and it couldn’t have happened to a better planet.

Now Eton, no stranger to the environmental mindset, has just introduced their Rugged Rukus. This is an all-terrain music system powered by Apollo himself. That’s right, the Rugged Rukus sucks juice from its included AC adapter or from the sun using “super efficient” solar panels.

The Rugged Rukus supports Bluetooth via a single button touch for pairing and retains power for up to 8 hours of playback time from its internal lithium battery. There is also a USB port on the device for charging your phones or tablets while you groove. Eton is not waterproof but it’s a great device to have at the beach, pool or camping trip with its IPX-4 splash proof rating.

The Eton Rugged Rukus is available now for $99. For more information visit http://www.etoncorp.com/en
