WWDC 09: iPhone 3GS It Is, Price And Ship Date Announced

As we reported last night, the new iPhone is the iPhone 3GS.  It features a 3 megapixel camera, video recording, faster processor, compass and up to 12 hours of talk time over EDGE or 30 hours of music playback and is available in 16GB or 32GB capacities.  It will ship June 19th and start at $199 ($299 for the 32GB).  Unfortunately, it looks like the updates are internal only; no OLED screen or a sleeker form factor to speak of.  But at least there is voice control, which I’m sure no one will use.

And as suspected, the now old 3G iPhone will sell for $99 and is available in an 8GB flavor only.
