In today’s economic crisis it’s all about getting the most bang for your buck, right? Griffin’s latest, the Powerblock and Powerjolt Reserve are a two for one iPod/iPhone charger at a slightly added cost. You see, aside from being a standalone charger – the Block for the home/office and the Jolt for the car – the device include a detachable ‘Reserve’ battery pack that charges at the same time as your iProduct. So when you’re all charged up and ready to hit the road you can pop off the additional battery pack and toss it into your pocket. Griffin doesn’t specify how much additional juice you’ll get from the Reserve battery, but of note the iPod Touch and Nano are rendered useless since the Reserve battery blocks their headphone jack. The PowerBlock is coming soon and the Jolt is currently back ordered. Both devices cost $39.99.
