Apple Squashes iPhone Nano Rumor & Reports Record Quarterly Profit

apple Apple Squashes iPhone Nano Rumor & Reports Record Quarterly Profit

You can forget about an iPhone Nano, at least as far as Tim Cook is concerned.  Apple’s acting CEO said “You know us, we’re not going to play in the low-end voice phone business. That’s not who we are. That’s not why we’re here. We’ll let somebody do that, our goal is not to be the unit share leader in the phone industry. It is to build the best phone.” The remark was presumably made during Apple’s quarterly financial announcement.  He also squashed the possibility, at least for now, that Apple will get into the Netbook game.

On a positive note, Apple reported a record quarterly profit of $1.6 billion on $10.17 billion in revenues.
