iMacs Refresh Now Official, Internal Updates Only, Includes Quad-core Processor & Thunderbolt

Quad-core is the name of the game and that’s what all of Apple’s iMac computers are now sporting. Last year, the iMacs received the Core-i processor and the only model that included a Quad-core chip was at the top tier, too expensive for many. But now every model has a Quad-core i5 processor inside, which pretty much means these are some of the fastest all-in-one machines you can buy on the market today. And as predicted they’ve added Intel’s Thunderbolt to the mix along with a Facetime HD webcam and all new AMD Radeon HD graphics. The rear of the box contains an audio output, audio line in, 4x USB 2.0 ports, Firewire 800, Thunderbolt port (2 of these on the larger models) and a Gigabit Ethernet port. All models will ship with Apple’s wireless keyboard and magic mouse. Aesthetics you ask? They’ve remained the same, which rest assured ain’t a bad thing.
