Sony VAIO VA TV-PC: LCD TV and computer all in one
Sony announced the VAIO VA TV-PC today and it may find its way into some small living rooms. The fully-featured computer features a beautiful 20″ wide screen, high definition LCD television / monitor. So what makes this computer more than just a computer? Well it’s an entire entertainment device when you read its features:
- Runs Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005
- 2.1 channel speaker system
- Playback, record, and edit high definition content
- Watch Live TV and record using personal video recording (PVR) software
- Watch and record double layer DVDs
- A multitude of analog audio and video inputs, a multi-card flash memory reader, i.LINK (Firewire) and multiple USB ports
- 802.11 b/g wireless connection
Pretty damn impressive for a $2,000 all in one machine. Available later this month.
