Sony today unvieled a new line of laptop computers called the VAIO C Series. They’ll start at $880 and go up for presale March 13th.
Under the hood is a yet to be specified Intel Core i5 processor, but we do know that it will be a second gen chip and sport Turbo Boost Technology 2.0. You can also expect a AMD Radeon HD 6630 1GB Hybrid Graphics card on select models, Blu-ray player, and HD webcam with an Exmor sensor. Sony is also including Intel’s Wireless Display 2.0, which allows you to watch your media on your TV, provided of course you’ve plugged in the “sold separately” USB adapter.
When the VAIO C laptops launch in March, they’ll be available in two sizes (14-inch and 15.5-inch) with an optional HD display, and come in orange, green, black and white. The first two colors will include what we assume are LEDs that “radiate light around the edges of the laptop, through the VAIO logo, and even around the touchpad emitting a beautiful glow”.
