According to stateoftheair.org, 5 out of 10 people living across the world breathe very low quality air, and this is something that is very detrimental to our health. One of the things that you can do to help improve the quality of air that you breathe is to either change your surroundings, or install an air conditioning system in your home or office. There are many different types of air conditioners to consider, but one that we have found to be very efficient in terms of energy consumption and effectiveness is the ductless mini split air conditioner. They may appear to be an expensive option at first, but with a setup that involves an indoor unit, and outdoor unit and a heat pump, it’s got pretty much everything you need for your indoor climate control. Going for the best ductless mini split air conditioner is definitely going to cost you a lot of money, but if you’re looking for a simple solution that’ll work well, the Daikin 12000 BTU Mini Split air con is going to do you just fine.

Why We Like It – Daikin 12000 BTU Mini Split

The Daikin 12000 BTU Mini Split air conditioning system is perfect for anyone that wants to spend under $1000, and still end up with a quality product. It’s got a SEER rating of 17 making it energy efficient, so you shouldn’t expect your electricity bill to rise too far with it.

  • Competitively priced
  • Easy to maintain
  • 10 Year Parts Warranty
  • No WiFi/App for smartphone integration

As you’ve probably found out through the title, the Daikin mini split heat pump has a BTU rating of 12000, making it perfect for rooms of up to 550 square feet. This is slightly less than the room coverage that you’ll get with the SENL-09CD Senville Mini Split, but the Senville split system does have a slightly better energy efficiency rating. This means your electricity bill is not likely to rise as much as it would with the Daikin mini split air conditioner.

Energy Efficiency

There are two ratios that are normally used to determine the energy efficiency of a HVAC system. There’s the Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER), and the Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER). The Daikin ductless mini split system has an SEER & EER ratio of 17, making it about 4 points higher than the minimum, industry recommended standard of 13. It’s not really the best in the industry, but for a minisplit AC that’s going for less than $1000, it’s still a good bargain.

The air filters in the Daikin mini split heat pump are both washable and easily removable, so keeping them well maintained shouldn’t be a huge problem. This is an aspect that the heat pump actually has in common with the WYSO12A-19 wall mounted Pioneer mini split conditioner, making the two perfect choices for anyone that wouldn’t want to have a difficult time during maintenance.

The typical lifespan of a good mini split air system is about 20 years, but this is of course with proper use and good maintenance. You can also expect the Daikin 12000 BTU air conditioning system to last a similar length, and just to make sure you don’t experience any problems with it when it’s still new, it’s backed by a 10 year parts manufacturer’s warranty that’s a lot better than the 5 years on parts and 7 years on compressor warranty that you’ll get with the Mrcool mini split heat pump.

Mini splits are designed to last a very long duration of use, making them the perfect solution to your air conditioning problems. You also won’t need to walk up to them to set up since modern ones come with a remote control, and since a lot of them guarantee quiet operation, you won’t be distracted in any way during your sleep.

Daikin 12000 BTU Mini Split Wrap Up

While most mini split systems are known to be quite expensive, the Daikin 12000 BTU mini split AC is a great alternative for anyone that isn’t ready to spend too much on one. It’s easy to operate, has a decent coverage area, and is also energy efficient.
