It’s official…! The upcoming Superman vs. Batman crossover hero flick and sequel to this past summer’s blockbuster, Man of Steel, is in production and will be filming this weekend in the City of Angels (L.A. for those of you who are not familiar with the city’s moniker). Although full production isn’t technically expected to being sometime in 2014, Zack Snyder decided to get an early start on the highly anticipated film and will be filming at an East Los Angeles College (ELAC) football game this coming weekend.
The game between the ELAC Huskies and Victor Valley College on Sat. October 19th will see the stadium transformed into Gotham City University’s home stadium for a game against rival school Metropolis State University during half time. Those who are the first 2,000 game goers that are seated in the filming section will get tees designed by Snyder that are black and gold to support Gotham’s team, with filming lasting about 20 minutes. Right now, there’s no confirmation that either Superman (Henry Cavil) or Batman (Ben Affleck) will show up for the big game for the rival cities, but you bet fans will definitely show up hoping to find out.
The sequel is set to hit movie theaters on July 17, 2015.
