Trampolines are always fun, but how awesome would it be if you’d be able to jump your way to places using a trampoline sidewalk? Well Estonian firm Salto Architects thought of just that with their Fast Track springy trampoline sidewalk that allows users to jump as a mode of transportation. The prototype trampoline sidewalk project was created for the Archstonyanie Festival this past summer in Russia, where it was used for both play and transport, allowing visitors to get from one place to the next by jumping. According to Salto Architects, the project “challenges the concept of infrastructure that only focuses on technical and functional aspects and tends to be ignorant to its surroundings” to give users a “different experience of moving and percieving the environment.” Imagine all the calories you’d burn and fun you’d have if this prototype becomes a reality!
