Why We Like It – Crane Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifiers

The Crane Humidifier adds moisture to dry air for a full day and covers an incredibly large, 500 square foot, radius. It comes with an easily detachable and refillable one gallon water tank, and the dial on the front of the unit is so easy to use and understand it eliminates any sort of learning curve.

Pros
  • 500 Square Foot Room Coverage
  • Clean Control Antimicrobial Material
  • Affordable
Cons
  • Runs a Little Loud
  • Can’t Use Essential Oils
  • Demineralization Filter Sold Separately

Performance

The Crane Ultrasonic Humidifier Runs a little loud a little loud compared to other humidifiers. It’s not noisy by any means, just a low-humming white noise, but can be distracting nonetheless. Try the SUNLUNA SL AH001 Ultrasonic Humidifier Operation if you want something quieter. The Crane Cool Mist has a run time of about 24 hours. A full-day use is pretty average, so that’s good, but definitely not the longest we’ve seen. But on a positive note, it can humidify a room up to 500 square feet, which is very impressive.

Design

The Crane Drop Shape Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier contains clean control antimicrobial material in its base which helps to reduce bacteria and mold growth. Unfortunately, the Crane Ultrasonic Humidifier is not compatible with essential oils. If you’re conducting your own cool mist humidifier review and conclude you need to have essential oils, check out Levoit Humidifiers. Crane Humidifiers are controlled by a simple dial to adjust warm mist output for humidity level, and this simplicity makes the learning curve virtually non-existent.

Value

If you wish, you can purchase, separately, a demineralization filter cartridge to help reduce lime, calcium, and other mineral build-ups. It would be nice if this came included, but with the unit priced at $36.00, it’s not that big a deal to have to purchase it separately. The Crane Ultrasonic Humidifier also comes with a one gallon tank, or 3.5 litres, which is quite big by humidifier standards. Try the Homech Cool Mist Humidifier if you want a water tank that’s just slightly bigger.

Crane Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifiers Wrap Up

The Crane Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier does have its share of cons. It cannot be used with essential oils and it runs louder than normal which can be tortuous when trying to put a baby down to sleep. Still, you can’t go wrong with its exceptional room coverage, large water tank, and attractive price tag.
