So by now you’ve all heard about the Gizmondo executive that wrapped his $1 million Enzo Ferrari around a light pole on the PCH yesterday morning here in Malibu, California. I did a little more digging after hearing about Eriksson’s accident and association with the Swedish Mafia and purported counterfeit scheme, and discovered a fulfilling post on TG Daily. Turns out that the companies executives were not only bleeding money like a sieve, but were lining their pockets with it too. Gizmondo was paying consultancy fees to family members, purchasing lavish vehicles (i.e. Eriksson’s Enzo Ferrari), and employing their own companies to develop games all on the company’s dime. The real clincher is the $4 million paid to Game Factory to develop a typing tutor game although the Gizmondo lacks a keyboard. As Morpheus said well just have to wait and “see how deep the rabbit hole goes?.
