Canon Shows of Fuel Cell Technology

Canon released its first fuel cell hydrogen powered camera at a Japanese expo last week. Canon plans to release fuel cells for portable devices, and perhaps larger devices, such as printers.

Currently the fuel cells offer the same power as a lithium ion battery, but Canon says it will continue to improve the technology. A few other companies are in the race to bring this new battery technology to market. We recently saw Toshiba showing off their new alternative fuel.

So does this mean fuel celled devices will be highly explosive or are the amounts to small to combust?
