Key Takeaways

Key Takeaways

  • Apple bundles TV, Arcade, and Music Select into every paid iCloud+ plan across 100+ countries.
  • Standalone Apple TV and Arcade subscriptions automatically convert to iCloud+ access, preserving game saves.
  • Apple uses iCloud+ cloud storage as a distribution vehicle for entertainment in price-sensitive markets.

If you’re an iCloud+ subscriber in India, Nigeria, or Singapore, your plan just got significantly more valuable. Apple is rolling out a bundled iCloud+ tier across more than 100 countries, folding Apple TV, Apple Arcade, and a new Apple Music Select tier into every paid iCloud+ plan at no added cost.

The change arrives through the end of September 2026. Apple One is now closed to new subscribers in all covered markets, according to MacRumors, positioning iCloud+ as the center of Apple’s services strategy outside core Western territories.

What You Get and Where It Applies

Every paid iCloud+ tier in over 100 markets now includes streaming, gaming, and curated music stations.

Covered markets span Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, the Caribbean, and island nations, including India, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Türkiye, Ukraine, the UAE, Nigeria, Pakistan, and dozens more. Even the entry-level 50GB iCloud+ plan qualifies, and Family Sharing extends access to up to five people in a family group.

The markets that don’t qualify are just as notable. The U.S., Canada, Australia, the UK, and broader Western Europe are excluded, and those subscribers continue on standalone subscriptions or Apple One.

What Happens to Your Existing Subscriptions

Standalone Apple TV and Arcade plans are being cancelled and converted to iCloud+ access automatically.

If you were paying separately for Apple TV or Apple Arcade in a covered country, those standalone subscriptions are being cancelled and folded into an iCloud+ entitlement. Apple says the transition is automatic and that Apple Arcade game saves and progress are preserved, so there’s no disruption to your library.

Existing Apple One subscribers in affected markets keep their current plans. New Apple One sign-ups are no longer available in those countries, according to MacRumors.

Apple Music Select and the Upsell Built Into the Bundle

Curated, ad-free stations come with iCloud+, and a discounted path to full Apple Music follows.

Apple Music Select is not full on-demand Apple Music. It offers ad-free, Apple-curated stations including regional mixes, Top Songs, 80s, 90s, and themed channels, accessible through the Home tab of the Apple Music app.

The pricing math for upgrading is deliberately accessible. In India, full Apple Music costs INR 115 per month for an individual plan and INR 145 for a family plan. In Mozambique, pricing is listed at $2.79 per month for an individual plan and $4.49 per month for a family plan, according to Apple’s newsroom announcement.

Eddy Cue, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Services and Health, framed the offer directly: “We’re excited to bring Apple TV and Apple Arcade to iCloud+ users in over 100 countries in one convenient subscription. iCloud+ users can now securely store and share personal content across their devices, enjoy the absolute best in original storytelling from Apple TV, and explore an incredible lineup of hundreds of games through Apple Arcade,” according to Apple’s newsroom announcement.

The Broader Strategic Move

Apple is using cloud storage as the distribution vehicle for its entertainment services in price-sensitive markets.

Cloud storage is a baseline necessity: iPhone users in these markets already rely on iCloud+ to back up their devices. Apple is using that foundation as the distribution layer for Apple TV and Arcade. Both services faced an uphill climb building standalone subscriber bases in markets where price sensitivity runs higher than in the West.

Apple TV is also expanding to 59 new countries as part of this rollout, bringing the streaming service to 170 countries globally. Many of those newly added territories had no prior access to Apple TV at all.

The clearest beneficiaries are current iCloud+ subscribers in covered markets, who gain access to streaming and games without paying anything more. What the move also reveals is a two-tier services world: Apple One anchors the U.S. and Western Europe, while iCloud+ carries the bundle everywhere else.
