SunBriteTV (never heard of them) is set to introduce and all weather addition 46″ LCD. I’m not just talking rain or shine (it will survive a garden hose onslaught by the way), I’m talking a temperature range of over 140 degree Fahrenheit: -24 to 122 degrees. It’s no slouch in the specs either, boasting a 1080p antireflective, scratch resistant screen for in sun viewing. Included is a water resistant remote - not sure why they didn’t make it waterproof to match the TV.
Available March ‘08 for $5,495.

Hyundai announced that they’ve completed development on their in dash dual screen monitor, which can display two different images on one monitor. The technological feat takes advantage of the viewer’s perspective or viewing angle. The driver will see GPS while the passenger can view a movie or play a game. I’m a little skeptical on clarity, though.

Tight on desk space? The ‘Tenbuno’ is a 19 LCD with an 8.4 LCD hinged on its head. Reminds me of the
Pertelian only it’s not monochrome. You’ll have to be willing to bear small print and images (800×600 – any more pixels and you’d need a magnifying glass) on the small screen, so it’s definitely not for the graphic artist type. The 19â€? puts out 1280×1024 and the monitor supports DVI, RCA, and VGA input. Expect it in Korea sometime in May.

The diamond ‘encrusted’ LCD fits right in with those
ridiculously expensive cell phones we recently saw, and at 160 diamonds it by far has the most bling. Puns like “enhanced viewing pleasure” and “crystal clear quality” come to mind. The 160 diamonds equate to 20 Carats and you can see the ’set’ in all its glory at the International
Fair of Berlin IFA 2006.

According to The Korea Times, we can expect projector embedded cell phones as early as next April. Created by Iljin Display, the Single LCD Panel technology should be able to project up to a seven inch full-color screen. The LCD panel itself is only .24 wide, and is able to operate on just one panel (as opposed to the standard three panels found in older technology) by switching rapidly between the three necessary colors: red, green, and blue. Iljin Display is already working with Korean manufactures Samsung and LG Electronics.

We just had to…The 1.8â€? screen Lilliput LCD Monitor has to be the smallest of its type and probably the most useless, but we just couldn’t help ourselves. The product descriptions suggests use for a Nav or Car rear view system. Get the 116k pixel LCD here for $55.Â

I’m an unbelievable sucker for these kind of press releases. LG.Philips announced the world’s largest LCD Panel — a 100″ Screen. The 100″ HDTV features a 3000:1 contrast ratio, color reproduction of 92 percent, and an omni-directional, 180-degree viewing angle.
Of course, since no date or price were announced, this is yet another “world’s largest flat panel,” done as a PR hype. I fall for it everytime. But still, just imagine that thing on your wall :)
