The AOC CU34G2X is a 34-inch mid-tier display that was announced in 2019. It has both FreeSync and G-Sync compatibility like most of the best computer monitors around as well as excellent ergonomics for easy adjustability. Dark colors are also visible in a dark room because of its high native contrast, and with its 1500R screen curvature, the monitor provides an immersive viewing experience. As most would expect from some of the top-rated gaming monitors on the market, it does offer good color accuracy, but it is not as good as the Asus TUF Gaming VG34VQL1B. Also, similar to the AOC AGON AG273QCX, it has a 144Hz refresh rate for tear-free gaming and a 1440p screen resolution for sharp image and text quality

The high contrast ratio, easy adjustability, and wide screen size of the AOC CU34G2X had reviewers quite pleased, however, its narrow viewing angles and lack of a local dimming feature were somewhat disappointing and also synonymous with the Asus TUF VG27VQ.

Consensus
our Verdict
The AOC CU34G2X garnered praise from reviewers for its wide 34-inch screen size, as they agreed that it offered a lot of screen space for productivity at the office and co-op gaming. Expert testers from Toms Hardware were also quite happy with its high native contrast ratio of 2789:1, as they confirmed that its blacks were more easily visible in a dark setting compared to the Asus ROG STRIX XG27UQ. The monitor’s 144Hz refresh rate also ensured that product testers from Rtings didn’t encounter any screen tearing during their tests, and its fantastic ergonomics made it pretty easy to adjust. Thanks to a DCI-P3 coverage of up to 84%, reviewers enjoyed vivid imagery and were satisfied that the display had a wide color gamut, and since they also found out that the display has both FreeSync and G-Sync compatibility, they concluded that it would be a worthwhile choice for gamers.
