House Fly sporting spectacles

Using a special laser, scientists have managed to create small enough glasses to put on a house fly. The 2 mm spectacles sure make this house fly look like a nerd.
The photo you see above is currently showcased in a science photo exhibit held in Munich, Germany.
Such impresive technology, such a stupid application.
